Academic Claims

She is dedicated to exploring the integration of art theory and practice. She has traveled across China for cultural study and visited over a hundred museums in Europe and the United States for cultural exchange and mutual learning. She advocates for the close connection between art history and theory, exhibition planning, and project practice.

She advocates for the integration and mutual enrichment of technology and art, offering innovative, interactive solutions for social and cultural development from high-level perspectives of computational aesthetics, digital art education, embodied healing, and art design. She is dedicated to helping audiences experience excellent culture in an enjoyable way, strengthen their cultural confidence, and empower people across the nation to recognize and appreciate their own path to happiness.

Academic research

She focused on in-depth interdisciplinary integration, communication, and collaboration. She participated in major national projects, including the 2022 Winter Olympics Cultural and Creative Initiatives and the planning and design of Zhangjiawan Design Town. She also played an active role in the youth artwork collection for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics and served as a jury expert. In addition, she taught interdisciplinary courses at iCenter and Institute for Accessibility Development, Tsinghua University.

She actively participated in the exploration and practical implementation of research projects. She invented several patents, including a brain-computer interface art system and its working method, a control method, device and electronic equipment of aromatherapy products based on EEG signals, as well as a smart ring and its control method. She participated in the 2022 ZhenPlanet Cutting-edge Technology Entrepreneurship Camp and was awarded the Excellence Prize at the First Tsinghua University Postdoctoral Entrepreneurship Competition. She participated in a wide range of projects, including Dream Visualization: Drawing Dream with Brain Computer, Intelligent Role Matching and Virtual Interaction for Peking Opera Face Masks, Digitalization of Intangible Cultural Heritage for Art-Based Rural Development, AI and Suzhou Embroidery Robot Application Design, Xiangyun Fabric Intelligent Detection and Digital Design, Virtual Reality Restoration of Bronzes, and Digital Innovation in Red Aesthetic Education. Among the projects, Drawing Dream with Brain Computer received extensive coverage from official media outlets, including CCTV, People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, and Xinhua News Agency. It was featured in numerous in-depth reports and follow-up articles, with over 200 media outlets sharing the news, reaching an audience of more than 500 million.

She actively curated and organized various academic forums and exhibition events. She was involved in curating exhibitions such as the China Olympic Themed Art Exhibition, the Olympic Science, Technology and Art Exhibition, and the First John Ma Art Exhibition. Additionally, she organized and curated a number of academic exchange events, including the academic exchanges activity of Entering Microsoft Research Asia, the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Music Seminar, the Brain and Art Symposium, and the Interdisciplinary Exchanges on Contemporary Art and Cutting-edge Technology.
