Academic Philosophy
1.Concept and Language as Fundamental Components of Art:
Without concept, art lacks purpose; without language, art becomes mere action. Language research spans ancient and modern dimensions, exploring the causes of its evolution, the inheritance and transformation of language during this process, the addition and subtraction of essential language elements, and the types and styles of language—including epochal, ethnic, and personal styles. It also involves individual studies of distinguished artists’ linguistic styles, the regularity and characteristics of language, its forms and relationships with related disciplines, and the distinctive features of Chinese artistic language compared to Western artistic language.
2.Ink Painting Creation and Research Focus on Contemporary Studies:
This includes the relationship between contemporary and traditional art, as well as the various possibilities of contemporaneity. Contemporaneity is an inevitable historical choice, a perspective rooted in the relationship between art and real life. Art is the spiritual extension of real life—without life, there is no art. The time and space of life are both concrete.
