The 2025 Tsinghua International Conference on Art & Design Education (ICADE) will be held with great ceremony at Tsinghua Arts and Design Institute in Milan!
Hosted by Tsinghua University, ICADE adopts a global perspective to envision the future of art and design education in the new era. Since its inception in 2021, the conference has successfully held four editions, bringing together deans' forums, academic seminars, cross-disciplinary workshops, thematic exhibitions, and student forums showcasing cutting-edge ideas and practices from global thinkers across art, design, and related disciplines.
Under the theme "Future Context: New Paradigms for Art and Design Education," ICADE 2025 aims to explore how art and design education can inspire student creativity through innovative teaching models, promote interdisciplinary integration, …and shape new paradigms for art and design education in the era of intelligence.

The conference invites deans, professors, and leaders from over 30 renowned art and design institutions across Italy, the UK, the US, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and more, alongside experts from education, academia, and industry, bringing together brilliant minds for thought-provoking dialogue.

The event will feature keynote speeches and six thematic forums addressing critical issues of future development, exploring the multifaceted “Future Context” of the AI era.

Notes for Participants
Due to limited seating, confirmation of successful registration will be sent via email. Upon confirmation, a registration fee of 1,000 RMB is required (covers conference materials, tea breaks, and participation costs). The conference committee will provide invitation letters for visa applications. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.

The conference will be held at Tsinghua Art and Design institute in Milan (Address: Via Durando 39, Milano). This iconic building, designed by Italy’s legendary architect Alessandro Mendini, is adjacent to Politecnico di Milano’s Bovisa campus and located in Milan’s most vibrant design innovation district.
