Preface
For the past two decades, the Department of Information Art & Design has consistently embraced interdisciplinary innovation as its core, embedding humanistic care into the fabric of digital technology. It has established a dynamic dialogue platform between art and science in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and the Internet of Things.
The concept of "Meta Link" not only inherits the mission of the information technology revolution at the time of the department's establishment in 2005 but also redefines the essence of design education in the context of the global AI transformation. It serves not only as an interface between technological tools and artistic expression but also as a super node connecting the past and the future, Eastern wisdom and global perspectives, individual creativity, and social value.
Through the continuous integration of art design and information technology, the Department of Information Art & Design has cultivated leading talents with both humanistic sentiments and technological literacy. Its educational model has evolved from an "innovative experiment" a decade ago to a systematic paradigm with international significance. Standing at the 20th anniversary milestone, the "Meta Link" theme highlights the unique value of information art and design as an interdisciplinary field: it refracts the spectrum of diverse fields like a crystal, activates cross-boundary innovative energy like a neural network, and gathers the forces of industry, academia, and research like a gravitational field, continuously addressing the era's questions of "how art reconstructs technological ethics" and "how design empowers the human community." This meta-link thinking, pivoting on intersection points, is driving design education from disciplinary integration to paradigm revolution, writing new possibilities for human digital civilization.

Academic Forum
Taking the 20th anniversary of the Department of Information Art & Design as an opportunity, combined with the anniversary exhibition and other activities, this forum aims to summarize the development experience of the Department of Information Art & Design over the past 20 years and propose leading academic perspectives and initiatives for the future development of the discipline of information art and design.
The forum is planned to be divided into four sections, including a roundtable forum of deans, four parallel academic forums, and an alumni roundtable forum, to reflect the height of academic vision, the breadth of exchange and cooperation among relevant domestic institutions, the depth of thinking about the future development of the discipline, and the warmth of concern for alumni development.

This exhibition will be held simultaneously in four galleries of the Academy of Arts & Design, showcasing representative achievements of the Department of Information Art and Design over the past 20 years in teaching, research, and artistic practice. The content includes the history of the department, the evolution of teaching, student creations, and alumni ecology, as well as the interdisciplinary research projects of faculty members. Through a rich array of exhibits and interactive experiences, including immersive installations such as "Large-Space VR," visitors will fully experience the vitality and achievements of the department in technological innovation and artistic exploration, and collectively contemplate the future possibilities of technology, design, and knowledge.

All are welcome to visit the campus in accordance with the university's management requirements.
