Recently, Wang Wei, a faculty member of the Painting Department at Tsinghua University's Academy of Arts & Design, participated in an art exchange program in Thailand as part of the Asia University Alliance (AUA) visiting scholar project. During his visit, he held the "Perspective of the Great World from Appearance - Wang Wei's Chinese Painting Works Tour Exhibition" (Thailand Edition) at Chulalongkorn University and KU Leuven University.
The exhibition primarily showcased Wang Wei's ink wash figure paintings, blending traditional Chinese ink techniques with modern artistic concepts, highlighting his unique artistic style and creative insights.
During the exhibitions at Chulalongkorn University and KU Leuven University, Wang Wei also engaged in academic lectures and exchange activities. Through accessible presentations, he introduced the essence and characteristics of Chinese ink painting to Thai students and faculty, fostering cultural exchange and understanding between China and Thailand.
The success of the exhibition was made possible by the generous support of both universities and the assistance of the Thai-Chinese Literary Artists Association. It not only showcased Wang Wei's artistic talent but also injected new vitality into cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.
