Research Interests
History and theory of modern and contemporary Chinese design, history and theory of arts and crafts She is dedicated to the research and academic curation of the history and theory of modern and contemporary Chinese design, as well as the history and theory of arts and crafts. She advocates for an approach that combines historical research with theoretical analysis, emphasizing both the macro context and the in-depth examination of group case studies.
Academic Achievements
Publications
She has published over 50 academic papers and articles in academic journals such as ZHUANGSHI, Art & Design Research, Art Observation, and at academic conferences.
Her works include: Traditional Chinese Crafts (co-authored, first edition 2006, second edition 2010, third edition 2018, published in seven languages), Chinese Culture • Crafts (co-authored, published in nine languages since 2014), Chinese Modern Art and Design Academic Thought Series: The Collected Works of Wu Lao (Shandong Fine Arts Publishing House, 2011), A Collection of Artworks from Lei Guiyuan (co-edited, Shanghai Culture Publishing House, 2016), The Works of Lei Guiyuan (co-edited, Shandong Fine Arts Publishing House, 2016), Guanghua Road: The Legacy of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (co-edited, Shandong Fine Arts Publishing House, first edition 2011, revised edition 2016), and Chasing the Sun’s Light and Shadow: Deng Wei (co-authored, Yangliuqing New Year’s Paintings Workshop, 2009), among others.
Since 2009, she has served as Deputy Director of the Editorial Office for the Chinese Modern Art and Design Academic Thought Series, organizing the publication of more than 20 volumes in the collection.
