Academic Philosophy
In an era of rapid technological advancement and societal transformation, the field of arts and crafts faces unprecedented opportunities and challenges. As a vital branch of crafts, glass art must balance heritage preservation with innovative development, fostering academic leadership aligned with contemporary needs. This requires constructing a theoretical framework and scholarly system that resonate with China’s cultural context. Pedagogically, Professor Guan emphasizes cultivating students’ engagement with traditional Chinese culture while embracing global perspectives. By integrating Chinese philosophical essence into modern craft creation and encouraging theoretical rigor, his teaching bridges tradition and industry, nurturing world-class artisans for societal and national progress.
