Academic Claims

Contemporary art and design have become creative activities that intricately merge perception and reflection, experience and concept. This requires creators not only to solve concrete problems within technologically innovative environments, but also to possess a conceptual vision and critical awareness of the current social context, including the ability to critically reflect on the act of creation itself. In this light, both artistic creation and design practice urgently call for breaking through traditional disciplinary boundaries and media limitations. It is essential to seek interdisciplinary integration with philosophy, history, sociology, anthropology, and other humanities disciplines, while maintaining a sensitivity to and critical awareness of evolving technologies and media within practical experience. This allows for the infusion of speculative methods and an open-ended approach to learning into the fabric of everyday creative practice.
