His academic research focuses on meeting the nation's development needs and supporting national strategies. including the Chinese People’s Police ceremonial uniform system, the visual identity system for the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the emblem for the Armed Police Force, the visual identity system for the National Immigration Administration, the visual identity system for the Central Gifts and Artifacts Center and the Museum of Party and State Meritorious and Honorary Awards, the diplomatic gift packaging system, the visual identity systems for China’s Border Inspection and China Coast Guard, the China high-speed rail passenger guide system, the logo for the CPC and World Political Parties Summit, and the logo for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, among many others that contribute to the construction of national image.

He has also been involved in a range of major projects, including the design of state medals such as the Medal of the Republic, the July 1st Medal, the Friendship Medal, the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award Medal, and the memorial medal for 50-year Party membership. In addition, he also contributed to the design of the Museum of the Communist Party of China, the Type 07 military uniform for the Chinese Armed Police, the attire for the State Guest Guard, and the landscape design for Winter Olympics venues.
