Academic Claims
Broaden domestic academic visions and make up for deficiencies in the teaching system by streamlining, researching and introducing the modern ceramic art system worldwide.
Pay attention to the relationship between traditions and status quo of Chinese ceramic art, get an all-dimensional command of the oriental spirit beneath Chinese ceramics by researching modern development in western countries as well as traditional Chinese lifestyles, philosophies and aesthetics, reflect on the spirit through comparison between traditions and status quo, eastern countries and western countries, and introduce the spirit into the teaching system. Advocate the embodiment of personal values, academic viewpoints and artistic view on works, emphasize sharpening skills in practice, taking technical measures to improve thoughts and thereby understanding materials and processes, pay attention to all-round improvement of students in artistic accomplishment, and apply heuristic teaching to help students build their capability of independent thinking so that they will treat ceramic art on the basis of self-cognition and emotion.

November 1996 The First Solo Exhibition with “Symposium of Abstract Art of Bai Ming” was held in Gallery of International Art Garden, Beijing. Liu Xiaochun presided over the academic event where such art critics as Shui Tianzhong, Jia Fangzhou, Fan Di’an, Yi Ying, Yin Shuangxi, Deng Pingxiang, Leng Lin, and Pi Li were present.

September 2010 “The Story of Eastern Ceramic: Bai Ming Ceramic Art Exhibition” sponsored by IAC and Centre Culturel de Chine à Paris became the only cultural event on behalf of China during the “Foreign Culture Week” of Paris Municipal Government in 2010.
September 2013 To assist the First Asian Curator Forum, Guangdong Museum of Art invited Ming Bai to hold Guangdong Museum titled “Tranquility, Night, and Thinking: Stories Presented by Bai Ming”.
September 2013 “The Civilization Dialogue: Bai Ming Art Exhibition” held in gué péan chateau, France, which was planned by Laming, a famous architect in France
October 2013 Bai Ming Ink Paintings Art Exhibition held in Paris, France
April 2014 “Bai Ming: Heavenly Worms” held in Urumqi
July 2014 “Bai Ming Painting and Ceramic Exhibition” held in Musée Cernuschi of Paris, France was listed among critical programs for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic relations by French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institut Francais, and Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China.
July 2015 Grand Exhibition of Asian Art and Bai Ming Solo Exhibition held in Seoul, South Korea
March 2016 Bai Ming was invited by NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts) and KCAC (Kansas City Artists Coalition) to hold a solo exhibition titled “Bai Ming - Kansas City” in celebration of the 50th anniversary of NCECA and the 40th anniversary of KCAC.
