On March 20, 2026, the 19th “Spring Equinox·Chaoyang” Cultural Festival, the 3rd Beijing Chaoyang Garden Festival, and the opening ceremony of the "Fashion Beijing, Love Elegance" 2026 China Fashion Export Season grandly kicked off at Ritan Park. Co-organized by the Chaoyang District Bureau of Park and Forestry, the Chaoyangmen Sub-district Office, and the Beijing Fashion Week platform, the event transformed the ancient circular altar of Ritan Park into an international runway, where the rhythmic essence of the Spring Equinox merged with modern fashion beats. This cross-border, ancient-modern fusion event injected vibrant diversity into Beijing’s spring.

The fashion show featured 20 meticulously crafted looks. Drawing inspiration from cultural relics such as the Song Dynasty "Blue Ground with Deer Pattern Brocade" and the Southern Song Dynasty “Wishful Camellia Pattern Gauze,” Professor Li Wei systematically deconstructed and innovatively revitalized these historical motifs. By delving into the cultural connotations behind the patterns, extracting core design elements, reorganizing compositional logic, and refining color palettes, she adapted thousand-year-old silk patterns to contemporary aesthetic contexts. Upholding the integration of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) inheritance and innovation, Professor Li infused international fashion language with multiple national-level ICH techniques—including silk weaving, dyeing, and embroidery—endowing fabrics with a lustrous and refined texture and cultural depth through exquisite craftsmanship. This effort breathed new life into silk artifacts slumbering for a millennium, turning them into cultural symbols that bridge past and present, conveying Oriental aesthetics and silk culture in modern life.

With 19 years of dedication, the "Spring Equinox·Chaoyang" Cultural Festival has become a cherished cultural memory for Chaoyang residents. The Beijing Chaoyang Garden Festival activates urban ecological spaces through a "park+" model, while Beijing Fashion Week represents the cutting-edge force of the capital’s fashion industry. Rooted in Ritan Park’s historical legacy, this event seamlessly integrated traditional culture, fashion expression, and ecological civilization, presenting a surreal spring garden couture show that harmonized Oriental philosophy with avant-garde craftsmanship. On the runway, ancient cypresses and red walls complemented flowing haute couture, as Chinese and international design languages converged, earning waves of applause.
