December 13, 2024, Professor David Oswell, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange from Goldsmiths, University of London, visited the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Ma Sai, Dean of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, and Hao Juandi, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, attended the meeting.

Dean Ma Sai extended a warm welcome to Deputy Vice-Chancellor Oswell's visit, expressing gratitude for the enthusiastic reception accorded to the the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University delegation during their visit to the UK in October. He introduced the unique disciplinary development and international cooperation initiatives of the academy, expressing the hope for further faculty and student exchanges, and research collaboration between the two institutions.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Oswell began by conveying greetings from Professor Frances Corner, Dean of Goldsmiths, who thanked the academy for inviting her to the 2024 Tsinghua International Conference on Art & Design Education held at the Tsinghua University Milan Institute of Art & Design in November. She expressed her aspiration for more collaboration with the academy in Milan in the future. Oswell then introduced the distinctive academic features of Goldsmiths, expressing the hope for exchanges and cooperation in degree programs, joint academic events, and doctoral research projects.

Following the meeting, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Oswell and his delegation toured the academy's Metal Art, Ceramic Art & Design, and Engraving Art labs, as well as the alumni achievement exhibition themed "Actions Speak Louder Than Words” of the department of industrial design.
