On October 24th, the prestigious 4th "China Fine Arts Award," hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and the Chinese Artists Association, took place at the National Museum of China. This award is recognized as the most authoritative and influential national honor in the field of Chinese fine arts.
During this edition of the "China Fine Arts Award," a total of nine Gold Awards, 14 Silver Awards, and 17 Bronze Awards were granted. Notably, the thematic sculptures "Banner," "Belief," "Great Achievements," "Overcoming Challenges," "Pursuit of Dreams," and the lacquer mural "Ode to the Great Wall," were honored with Special Jury Awards. The sculpture "Great Achievements" was created by Professor Zeng Chenggang's team from the Department of Sculpture at Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, while the lacquer mural "Ode to the Great Wall" was created by Professor Cheng Xiangjun's team from the Department of Arts and Crafts. Furthermore, Wu Haoyu, Deputy Director of the Department of Ceramic Design, received a Bronze Award for his work titled "Neolithic 2024 – NO.1."

Special Jury Awards: Thematic Sculptures"Great Achievements"


Crafted by the Zeng Chenggang team in 2021, the sculpture "Great Achievements" captures a timeline spanning from the 1970s to the new era of socialism, depicting 65 iconic figures from diverse industries. The sculpture's primary mood is conveyed through the characters' forward-striving poses and proud expressions, embodying the unity and diligence of the people as they endeavor under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, culminating in "monumental accomplishments."
Special Jury Awards: lacquer mural "Ode to the Great Wall"


Created primarily by Cheng Xiangjun in 2021, this artwork features a foreground composed of ancient pine trees, a beacon tower of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, and rocky formations. The middle and distant backgrounds are depicted with continuous mountain ranges, showcasing the majestic posture of the Great Wall as it traverses the peaks of towering mountains like an loong. The converging streams in the mountains symbolize the enduring vitality and long history of the Chinese nation.
Bronze Award:"Neolithic 2024-NO.1"


Created by Wu Haoyu in 2024, the "Neolithic Age" series embodies the transformation of ceramic artistic language in design through a dialogue between traditional and modern aesthetics. It seeks a balance between renewal and preservation, contemporary and traditional, art and utility, attempting to transcend the barriers of thought, materials, and craftsmanship.
