Book Design by Instructor Wang Hongwei is an essential course for the visual communication design major. This course aims to acquaint students with the aesthetics of books and foster enthusiasm for book design. In addition to imparting knowledge about book design, it helps students develop book design skills, improve design competencies, and enhance aesthetic judgment. Instructor Wang has adjusted the course contents in a timely manner and adopted new teaching modes that suit online platforms.
Online engagement of experts and scholars is also a key aspect of the course. In order to broaden students’ horizons and prepare them for future, the Instructor invites a handful of industry insiders to introduce the history and status quo of book design and share their insights on future trends, bringing students closer to the real world of book design.
