From Oct.30-31, 2015, Fusion Power—Interdisciplinary Education and Innovation, forum to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Information Art & Design Department, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University was successfully convened. The Forum focused on fields of information and interactive design, animation, image media art and etc. Scholars and experts, representatives from enterprises, alumni, students and faculty were invited to discuss the new concept and new trends of education, research, innovation and development in the design field. Meanwhile, this forum also marked the opening of the 7th International Art & Design Academic Month of Tsinghua. In the next 30 days, 23 experts and scholars from UK, USA, Germany, Italy, France, Swiss, Austria, Australia, Japan, Korea, together with students and faculty of Tsinghua will gather together. They will share their ideas and concepts in art and design areas on topics of “tradition and modern” “east and west” “art and science” “classic and fashion” through panels, seminars, lectures and workshops.

Information Art & Design Department was established in 2005. In the last 10 years, it has combined the inter-discipline of art and information science, and has carried out series of innovative and experimental explorations. As a link between the preceding and the following 10 years, Fusion Power—Interdisciplinary Education and Innovation will be a milestone in the history of this department.
