On Dec.15th, 2015, President of School of the Art Institute of Chicago Mr. Walter Massey, Provost and Senior Vice President Ms. Elissa Tenny with fellows visited the Academy. Dean of the Academy Prof. LU Xiaobo, Deputy Dean of the Academy Prof. SU Dan, Director of the office of International Cooperation and Exchange Dr. ZANG Yingchun, Director of Ceramic Design Department Mr. BAI Ming, Director of Environmental Design Department Mr. SONG Limin, Training Center of the Academy Mr. MENG Fanshun met with the guests.

Dean of the Academy Prof. LU Xiaobo first welcomed the delegation and introduced the history, recent development and strategy of the Academy. Dean Massey Walter also introduced the school's 150-year history and achievements in the design area of the last 30 years. There have been many academic exchange activities between the two institutions in the past, and now both institutions turned their attention to interdisciplinary, especially the combination of art and science. Head of the two institutions discussed a lot about the potential cooperation in this area.

After the meeting, the delegation visited some labs and studios of the Academy.
