On the afternoon of May 11, 2016, as part of the series activities to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, the first session of 2016 Postgraduate Works Exhibition of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University was opened in the Hall of A Area in the Academy. Former deputy director of Tsinghua University Academic Council Prof. A total of 200 people, including WANG Mingzhi, dean of Academy of Arts & Design Prof. LU Xiaobo, deputy dean Prof. ZHANG Gan, Prof. SU Dan, Prof. MA Sai, associate Prof. WU Qiong, dean assistant Prof. YANG Dongjiang, Prof. FANG Xiaofeng and directors of related departments, tutors and students, presented at the opening ceremony. Dean Prof. LU Xiaobo extended his congratulations to the graduates’ achievements at school as well as thanks to their tutors’ hard work. He also mentioned in occasion of the 60th Anniversary of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, this exhibition was a link between the students and the society and also a platform to introduce the teaching characteristics and academic philosophy of the Academy. He hoped all graduates wouldn’t forget why they started, be creative in their career life, and use their intelligence and skills to create a better future. Associate Prof. XU Jianguo, Mr. ZHAO Cuncun gave small speeches respectively on behalf of the tutors and graduates. Prof. WANG Mingzhi announced the opening of the exhibition.

In the first session of 2016 Postgraduate Works Exhibition of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, there are 82 graduates showing their works in areas of painting, sculpture, ceramic design, arts & crafts and science innovation & design. 

Prof. WANG Mingzhi

This exhibition will last until May 18th. 84 graduates from Department of Textile & Fashion Design, Department of Visual Communication Design, Department of Environmental Art Design, Department of Industrial Design and Department of Information Art & Design will display their works from May 21st in Visual Art Center in B Area. Tsinghua- Kering Foundation has supported this exhibition.
