May 30, 2016, Vice Chancellor Mr. Steve Maharey and fellows visited the Academy. Dean Prof. LU Xiaobo, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Dr. ZANG Yingchun, Director of Industrial Design Department Dr. ZHAO Chao, Director of Information Art & Design Department Prof. XU Yingqing, Mr. LI Chaoyang from Environmental Art Design Department met with the guests and had a deep conversation.
Dean Prof. LU Xiaobo first expressed warm welcome to the delegation from Massey University. Then he introduced the history, discipline structure, and international cooperation and exchanges of the Academy. Vice Chancellor of Massey University Mr. Steve Maharey and Pro-Vice Chancellor for the College of Creative Arts Prof. Claire Robinson made comprehensive introduction of their University and College. Sharing similar history and academic structures, as well as the concern to characteristics of ethnic art and interdisciplinary research, the two sides both agreed that there would be more opportunities for cooperation in the future. After the Meeting, the two sides signed “MOU between Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and Massey University”, “Student Exchange Agreement between Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and Massey University”, which will open the doors of cooperation.
