On the morning of June 3rd, Undergraduate Work Exhibition of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University opened in Hall of Tsinghua University Art Museum, Vice Provost & Director of Academic Affairs Office of Tsinghua University Prof. PENG Gang, Dean of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University Prof. LU Xiaobo, Chairman of Academy of Arts & Design Council Mr. LI Gongqiang, Standing Deputy Executive Director of Tsinghua University Art Museum Prof. DU Pengfei, Deputy Dean of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University Prof. ZENG Chenggang, Deputy Dean Prof. ZHANG Gan, Deputy Dean Prof. SU Dan, Deputy Dean Prof. MA Sai, Vice Director of Academy Committee Dr. WU Qiong, Vice Director of Academy Committee Prof. ZHENG Yi，Assistant Dean of the Academy & Deputy Curator of Tsinghua University Art Museum Prof. YANG Dongjiang, Assistant Dean of the Academy Prof. FANG Xiaofeng attended the opening ceremony.
In the ceremony, Prof. ZHANG Gan, on behalf of the Academy, addressed that under the strong support of Tsinghua University Art Museum, all works of the 2017 undergraduates were on display and it’s possible to extend the exhibition period. He hoped that graduates could take the initiative to choose, dare to bear their responsibilities, never stop learning, and truly become industry leaders in the country’s economic and social development.
On behalf of Tsinghua University, Prof. PENG Gang affirmed that the graduation work exhibition of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University was an excellent academic tradition, and hoped that the Academy would continue to explore the undergraduate teaching reform actively, to construct the world’s first-class undergraduate education system, and to continuously cultivate top-notch talents.
Director of Industrial Design Department Dr. ZHAO Chao, Deputy Director of Sculpture Department Dr. CHEN Hui gave speeches on behalf of departments and tutors. One of the graduates from Industrial Design Department YU Fanzhe also delivered a speech. Finally, Dean LU Xiaobo announced the opening of the exhibition. Dr. YUAN Bo, Director of Teaching Affaires Office of the Academy, hosted the opening ceremony. More than 300 people including Directors of departments and the relevant offices, tutors and undergraduates, attended the opening ceremony.
This Undergraduate Work Exhibition was organized by the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, co-hosted by Teaching Affairs Office, Student Affairs Group of the Academy. More than 600 works from 262 graduates (including 18 Second Degree students of Digital Entertainment Design) will be exhibited in Tsinghua University Art Museum and Visual Art Center in the Academy at the same time.
