Students from the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University Won Awards in the “2017 Academic Originality - Exhibition of Arts Academy Students’ Works”

On the morning of October 14, 2017, the “2017 Academic Originality - Exhibition of Arts Academy Students’ Works” was open at the art gallery of the Academy. It was positioned as a creative exhibition of students from famous art institutions at home and abroad. It was a long-term and high-level exhibition aimed at fully demonstrating students’ spirits, artistic taste and current creative status, representing the core artistic and cultural creativity of China’s contemporary college students, as well as an interactive platform for various art forms.

About 200 pieces (sets) of creative works of students from four institutions, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua Academy of Arts & Design, China Academy of Art, and Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, were exhibited. In addition to the expression of personal emotions and individualized aesthetic cognition, the works displayed more about the student artists’ attention to the broad life and their insistence on pursuing artistic dreams. Through experts’ review and appraisal, the exhibition issued five awards, namely, the Modeling Art Award, the Art Inheritance Award, the Art Innovation Award, the Sponsor’s Special Award, and the Nomination Award.
