The opening ceremony of “Psyche: A Portfolio of Xin Dongwang’s Works” started at the foyer of the Tsinghua University Art Museum on the afternoon of June 24, 2018. The exhibition featured 92 oil paintings by Xin Dongwang, the late professor of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.

Scientist Thomas Edison said, “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.” Xin Dongwang has made fruitful artistic achievements through his diligence and artistic talent. His achievements in art are highly and unanimously recognized and praised in the art circle. Life has an end, but art is timeless. Although professor Xin Dongwang passed away in his early fifties, his artworks demonstrate the eternal rhythm of life. The vitality of his works shall ever live and shine in the course of Chinese contemporary oil paintings.
