On June 27, 2018 local time, the press conference of China National Arts Fund World Tour of China Fiber Art was held in Prato Textile Museum. At 18:30, the exhibition was officially opened. Prato Textile Museum is the best textile museum in Italy and has the longest history in Europe. This exhibition was co-hosted by China National Academy of Painting, Tsinghua University's Academy of Arts & Design and Prato Textile Museum, organized by Association of Chinese Artists in Italy, and supported by Prato government and Consulate-General of China in Firenze.

With the academic achievements of Biennial Exhibition, from Lausanne to Beijing, this exhibition displays 42 selected art works with characteristics of Chinese contemporary fiber art. The works of Mr. Wen Lianchang, a 90-year-old famous artist, were the highlight of this exhibition. With craftsmanship, China fiber artists expressed their emotions. They inherited the essence of traditional craftsmanship and interpret it in an innovative way of contemporary art to show Chinese sentiments and spirit. Fiber art, an ambassador bridging China and Italy, manages to promote the cultural, artistic and talent exchanges between the two countries.
