On June 13, 2018, the 2018 Undergraduate Work Exhibition of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University was opened in the hall of the Tsinghua University Art Museum.

Dean of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University Prof. LU Xiaobo, Chairperson of Academy Council Prof. MA Sai, Deputy Dean Prof. ZENG Chenggang, Deputy Dean Prof. YANG Dongjiang, , Deputy Dean Prof. FANG Xiaofeng, Deputy Dean Prof. ZHAO Chao, Vice Chairperson of Academy Council Prof. WU Qiong, and , Standing Deputy Executive Director of Tsinghua University Art Museum and other guests attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. ZENG Chenggang, Deputy Dean delivered a congratulation speech. He said that in the past four years, the students have grown from youth with deep love of art to determined young people exploring firmly on the road of art and design. The works displayed in this exhibition mainly focused on questions and reflections on needs, with extensive selection of topics, diverse perspectives and comprehensive media methods. They showed the purpose of the students in serving the community and focusing on daily life, as well as their pursuit of exploring unique artistic language, independent thinking and creativity.

Prof. BAI Ming, Director of the Department of Ceramic Design and Dr. Feng Fan, representative of tutors from the Department of Painting gave speeches on behalf of their departments and tutors. Ms. JIN Yiyi, student from the Department of Fashion and Textile Design delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. In the end, the Dean Prof. LU Xiaobo announced the opening of the exhibition.

Prof. YUAN Bo, Director of Teaching Affaires Office of the Academy, hosted the opening ceremony. The directors of departments, directors of offices of the Academy, graduates, and their supervisors, totally more than 300 people attended the opening ceremony.

The works of the graduates from the Department of Painting, Department of Sculpture, Department of Arts & Crafts, Department of Ceramic Art and Design, Department of Information & Art Design (Photography) were exhibited at Tsinghua University Art Museum.

Works of the graduates from the Department of Textile & Fashion Design, Department of Visual Communication Design and Department of Environmental Art & Design, Department of Industrial Design, and Department of Information Art & Design were exhibited in the exhibition halls of the Academy.

The Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University is striving to promote the development of first-rate disciplines with the “Three-in-One” talent cultivation model; to further expand resources of the Academy in the aim of accelerating the construction of Tsinghua Arts and Design Institute in Milan, and Qingdao Innovation Research Institute of Arts & Science; and to promote the country’s innovation and development. The Academy combines the industry, academic study and research together, to promote international talent training, and to explore cross-cultural and cross-discipline training model for high-level all-around innovative talents. Works exhibited have distinctive themes, diverse artistic styles, innovative design concepts, and future-oriented innovations dedicated to the integration of scientific spirit and humanistic feelings. The exhibition at Tsinghua University Art Museum will last until July 7th, and those at the Academy of Art & Design will last until July 5th.
