The Exhibition “Tao of Book Design: A 40-Year Journey of Book Design by Lu Jingren” opened at the Liu Haisu Art Museum in Shanghai on August 8, 2018.

Professor Lu Jingren of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University is the most prestigious book designer in China. He has designed over 2,000 books and won scores of book design awards at home and abroad in his designing career for 40 years including “the World’s Most Beautiful Book” prize. Leading China’s conceptual change from “book binding” to “book design”, he has developed a complete system of design theories of his own.
