
An art exhibition reception was held on the first floor of Tsinghua University Art Museum at 2 pm, May 10th, 2019, featuring works by postgraduate students from Tsinghua University’s Academy of Arts & Design and the Graduate School at Shenzhen.
The reception included: the Academy of Arts and Design’s Secretary of the party committee, Ma Sai; the Deputy Secretary of the party committee, Wu Qiong; the Assistant Deans, Zeng Chenggang, Fang Xiaofeng and Zhao Chao; the Executive Dean of the Tsinghua Arts and Design Institute in Milan, Zang Yingchun; the Deputy Director of Tsinghua University Art Museum, Su Dan; and the chairs of departments, advisors, graduates and other guests.

The reception was hosted by the Assistant Dean of the Academy of Arts and Design, Yang Dongjiang.
Wu Wei, the student representative from the sculpture department, gave a speech during the reception. Wu appreciated the instruction from Tsinghua which allowed him to discover how to have a conversation with himself and express himself.

Xiao Wenling, Professor of Textile and Fashion Design, stated that the basic principle of entering college was to pursue the truth. He also encouraged graduates to find the meaning of life and cherish it.

Ma Sai, Secretary of the party committee, observed that the year 2019 was the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, as well as the 20th anniversary of the integration of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts into Tsinghua University. Within two decades, the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University had been producing pioneers for society, and this year’s exhibition would exhibit the achievement from its graduate students. Ma also sent good wishes to the graduates and then announced the opening of the exhibition.
