The Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, welcomed new students on August 15th and 20th. On the year of 2019, we have 271 new undergraduates (domestically and internationally), and 314 postgraduates, including 210 Master Degree candidates and 104 Doctor Degree candidates.

On the Undergraduate Orientation, the Class of 2023 was wearing the unique T-shirts that designed by the Academy. Hosted by the Chair of the Office of Students Affairs, Guo LinHong, the Dean of the Academy, Lu Xiaobo; the Academy’s Secretary of the party committee, Ma Sai; the Assistant Deans, Fang Xiaofeng, Zhao Chao;the Executive Dean of the Tsinghua Arts and Design Institute in Milan, Zang Yingchun attended to the Orientation Event. The Academy prepared badge as a present for each of the freshmen, and two of the student representatives got wore the badge by Dr. Lu Xiaobo.

Registration for 2019 new graduate students took place on August 20th. The Academy settled a picture wall for new graduates in order to record the first moment of them for being a new postgraduate of the Academy of Arts and Design. 

On August 21st, the Academy held the Orientation at Building A, and the Academy’s Vice Secretary of party Committee, Wu Qiong; the Assistant Deans, Yang Dongjiang, Fang Xiaofeng and the Executive Dean of the Tsinghua Arts and Design Institute in Milan, Zang Yingchun attended to welcome the postgraduates. Represented the Academy, the Assistant Dean, Yang Dongjiang, put on the badge for a first-year doctoral student from the Department of Art History.
