Research Focus

1.Environmental Behavior Psychology
An interdisciplinary field integrating psychology, sociology, anthropology, architecture, and environmental design, this research explores interactions between humans and their physical/psychological environments. Key areas include:

oHuman-centric environments and cultural evolution

oEnvironmental awareness, cognition, and behavior

oVisual psychology and multisensory perception

oEnvironmental planning and evaluation standards

2.Lighting Environment Design
A multidisciplinary domain intersecting urban planning, architecture, product design, visual arts, and engineering. Research directions:

oArtificial Lighting: Technologies, fixtures, green lighting theory, indoor/landscape/architectural lighting design.

oNatural Lighting: Daylight climate studies, natural light system design.

oColor Environment: Chromatics, color perception, chromatic planning.

oVisual Environment: Light-visual theory, lighting quality assessment.


Academic Achievements

1. Theoretical Research

·Co-authored the "Lighting Design" chapter in Interior Design Data Compendium (Chief Editor: Zhang Yiman).

·Contributed to Chapter 5: Environmental Art Design Techniques in Environmental Art Design (National "10th Five-Year Plan" Textbook; Chief Editor: Zheng Shuyang).

·Authored Lighting System Design, a core textbook for environmental art design programs.

3. Laboratory Development

·Established the Lighting and Color Laboratory at Tsinghua University, integrating research across urban planning, architecture, and product design. Collaborated with industry leaders including HDL Electronics (Guangdong), Shenya Lighting, and Italian brand Reggiani.
