Tsinghua University's Academy of Arts and Design initiated its "Tongzhou Project" with a social practice mission in Shanxi's Lingqiu County. The project aims to support local cultural heritage through artistic endeavors.

Students immersed themselves in the local performance art form of "Loloqiang," experiencing its unique charm and cultural significance firsthand. They also learned traditional craftsmanship techniques from local artisans.

During the practice, students contributed to Lingqiu's cultural and tourism industries by devising intellectual property characters, proposing brand concepts for local products, and exploring innovative designs for museum products. These initiatives injected new vitality into Lingqiu's cultural industry development.

According to Li Ke, a counselor from Tsinghua University's Academy of Arts and Design, students were captivated by Lingqiu's allure and were eager to contribute their knowledge to its development.

In the future, Tsinghua Academy of Arts and Design students will continue to uncover the beauty of Chinese history, landscapes, and culture, planting the seeds of artistry in the countryside.
