Established in 2014 and with the purpose of modern ceramic art research, this institute covers modern ceramics and relevant art fields in its research contents, and undertakes horizontal topic research, design services, artwork design and production, professional exhibitions, and other tasks related to its research contents. Based on the “Shangyu Celadon Modern International Ceramic Center”, it invites important foreign artists and artistic institutes to join in creation and organizes exchange and demonstration activities with the Department of Ceramic Art Design to share resources. It also carries out exchange activities with major foreign ceramic organizations such as IAC (UNESCO International Academy of Ceramics) and NCECA (National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts).
