The Industrial Design Lab is a place for model processing and experiments. The purpose of the lab is to facilitate the industrial design teaching and the College's experimental courses and scientific researches. The modelings of various materials such as woods, fiber-reinforced plastics, ABS plastics, and clay models can be carried out in this lab. Also, product modelings, the main forms of whom include lathing, milling, planing, grinding, and hot press molding can be realized. Teachers as well as students are allowed to complete the whole process from conceptual model to prototype model, with the comprehensive use of various materials and molding technologies. The main facilities in the lab include Festo Woodworking Machines, lathes, milling and drilling machines, Acrylic all-in-one machines for blowing, absorbing, and pressing, engraving machines for salt carving molds, and so on.
