On November 5, 2017, coinciding with the 61st anniversary of the establishment of the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University (the former Central Academy of Craft Art), the “Bear History in Mind & Stay True to Original Intentions – Exhibition of the Works of Mentors and Friends from the former Central Academy of Craft Art” sponsored by the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, Changzhou Cultural Broadcasting Press and Publication Bureau and Changzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and undertaken by the Painting Studio of Mentors and Friends from the Central Academy of Craft Art and Changzhou Museum, had a grand opening ceremony in the Changzhou Museum of Jiangsu Province. With the theme “Bear History in Mind & Stay True to Original Intentions”, the exhibition was to remind people of the history and mission of the former Central Academy of Craft Art and original intentions and dreams of the founding members, and to inherit and carry forward the academic spirit and path blazed by the elder generation through sixty-one years of hard work. It also featured works of respected and reputable artists known for their artistic skills and moral integrity among the elder, middle and younger generations from the Academy, as well as works by professors, alumni and children of great artists.
