Research on Design Method of Mathematical and Bionic Modeling, Re-understanding of the Modeling Design of Traditional Objects
Jin Jianping is dedicated to the exploration of rational and sentimental modeling. He claims that we shall come to understand the origination of mathematics and the pattern of modeling from the angle of history, that we shall summarize the mathematic modeling methods from product design, and that we shall summarize the modeling pattern and methods by analysis and conclusion. These provide a true and feasible way for designers to learn how to model.
He also states that we learn and understand all rational modeling patterns of the nature from the point of bionics, and that we find out the modeling pattern and method from the way we live and the environment we are in. And we should build a systematic training mode for basic modeling by understanding and mastering the pattern and method we know.
Traditional objects reflect the lifestyle and way of thinking of a nation. We should explore and summarize the modeling science in the traditional object modeling by studying and re-exploring the model. This requires the understanding of the traditional objects from both a scientific point of view and the spirit of humanism. Through the ordinary objects, we will get to know the extensiveness and profoundness of traditional culture .
Given the current booming science and technology, functional modeling cannot satisfy the sentimental needs of people. The modeling nowadays requires more sentimental elements than the mere functional elements.
