Academic Proposition:
Garment structure, as an important part of fashion garment research, is the key to solving the apparel's styling problems from inside to outside. Studying the rationality of structure design can help solve the apparel's styling problems. At the same time, the relationship and compatibility between its inner space and human body are also worthy of in-depth research and exploration.
Graphic clipping or stereoscopic clipping is just a means to reflect the structure of the apparel, while expressing the integrality of the apparel shape from an artistic point of view and expressing rationality between human body and apparel from a scientific point of view is the cross-disciplinary characteristics of art and science in fashion design.
Academic Achievements:
Zhu Xiaoshan has compiled textbooks including A Guide to Clipping of Apparel Accessories, Fundamentals of Craft of Apparel and is now compiling Fundamentals of Apparel Structure, which is national-level teaching material under the 11th Five-year Plan
She has published papers on the craft of apparel and apparel plate-making, including The Emotions of Apparel -- Learning Apparel's Quality from the Emotional Perspective and The Games on Paper -- Learning Graphic Plate-Making from the Perspective of Fashion Design.
Her design works Style participated in the Ninth National Artworks Exhibition; Heaven and Earth was exhibited at the International Science and Art Exhibition and won the third prize at the Exhibition of Works by Teachers from the Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University; her design work Come and Disappear in Clouds was exhibited at the Exhibition of Works by Teachers and Students from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
